Terms of Service

Effective October 2, 2026

The short version. Your projects belong to you. Use Proofsheet for real design work, keep your login safe, and only share client pages with people you trust. Proofsheet is free while in testing; you’ll get notice before any paid plan starts, and you’ll never be charged without agreeing first.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of Proofsheet at proofsheetapp.com and app.proofsheetapp.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use Proofsheet for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.

2. Your account

3. Your content

You own everything you put into Proofsheet: your projects, notes, files and logos (“Your Content”). We don’t claim any ownership of it.

To run the Service, you give us permission to store, copy and display Your Content, but only as needed to provide Proofsheet to you, including publishing the client pages you choose to share. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from short-lived backup copies.

You’re responsible for having the right to use what you upload, such as client logos and brand materials.

4. Client pages

When you share a client page, anyone with the link can view what you included and, if you allow it, approve designs or request changes. You decide what to share and with whom. Responses made on your client pages update your project records.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use Proofsheet to:

6. Testing period and pricing

Proofsheet is currently in private testing and free to use. Features may change, and there may be occasional bugs or downtime while we improve it; please report anything odd to hello@proofsheetapp.com.

When paid plans are introduced, we’ll publish pricing and email account holders in advance. Nothing will be charged unless you choose a plan and agree to pay. Paid plans will renew until you cancel, and you’ll be able to cancel at any time.

7. Ending your use

You can stop using Proofsheet whenever you like, and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the Service or other people at risk. Where reasonable, we’ll give notice and a chance to download your data first.

8. Keep your own copies

We work hard to keep your data safe, but Proofsheet shouldn’t be the only place your important files live. Use Download Backup in Settings regularly, and keep original design files in your own storage.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Proofsheet is a record-keeping tool: check color values, specifications and approvals before sending work to print or production.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Proofsheet won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Proofsheet grows. We’ll change the date above and, for significant changes, email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use Proofsheet after that means you accept the updated terms.
